After a sejour of a few months in Haiti in 2000, with Sister Eumanie Alcide of the Haitian community of the Little Sisters of St. Therese in Papaye, Marie-Eliane Wart founded Fraternité Haiti des Trois Lacs to help Haitian children in need .
